I decided to create in addition another artistic and agricultural elements. This way of combining both environmental issues and social experimentation sets an example for the local youth; it is a way of creating a dynamic and equitable relationship between guests and hosts, as well as of demonstrating the central importance of agriculture in our quest to become self-sufficient in food production. It is a strong political statement; our artistic breeding ground will in turn give birth to a coffee plantation, a critical act which magnifies the artistic gesture and powerfully critiques what Léopold Sédar Senghor has called  "the deterioration of the terms of exchange, in other words the lowering of prices for export imposed by the West which punishes and impoverishes the farmers of the South".

Pour dépasser -et transcender- cet ambitieux chantier artistique et culturel, j'ai en outre décidé de travailler en association avec la communauté locale un autre projet à la fois artistique et agricole. Ce volet d'intégration environnementale et d'expérimentation sociale se veut un exemple pour la jeunesse locale afin de créer des liens dynamiques et équitables entre le collectif d’artistes associés au projet et leurs hôtes et démontrer qu’il faut aussi croire aussi à l'agriculture pour atteindre notre autosuffisance alimentaire. C’est enfin un acte politique fort où notre collectif fécondera une pépinière caféière, un acte critique qui amplifie l'acte artistique et dénonce ce que Léopold Sédar Senghor appelait "la détérioration des termes de l'échange", où les prix à l'export imposés par l'Occident pénalisent et appauvrissent durablement nos agriculteurs du Sud.
